I thought I found a place to stay where one could breathe freely,
a place of reason and room for everyone.
(A place to be myself)
But all I found was bullshit and know-all attitude,
I'd choose my friends over this scene any day.
Because everything you fight
is everything you are.
I came here to be spared from your narrow-minded views,
for openness towards diversity.
(A place to be myself)
Not to hear your morals or be taught to live my life.
What good are ideals when you don't live by them?
Because everything you fight
is everything you are.
We don't need more church to live decent (LIVES!)
We don't need more rules than we've already got
We don't need your morals, we'll make it on our own
I'll find my own way out. [x2]
Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name
and at least pretend they're glad you came.
When all you get is bullshit and know-all attitude
I'll choose my friends over this shit any day.
Because everything you fight
is everything you are.

I love this album because is like fresh air and a punch in your face at the same time.
Great voice, great sound, great lyrics, the music make me feel that something new is really posible.
So what else?

On their debut record, the London hardcore upstarts cross-up mosh-ready fare with melancholic ambient passages, weeping guitars, and virtuosic vocal harmonies, but its romantic veneer is much more complicated than it seems. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jan 30, 2019
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024

This is just a great album. I heard the artist live more less by chance and i have been hooked on his sound ever since. Stöj Snak is a must have on my mp3 player! Allan Schnoor
